Spatial Data Management

Manage data in datasources

GeolinQ solutions are configured in datasources. In datasources data for solutions are stored in datasets according a data structure established in class definitions using attributes. Data structures are configured manually or generated based on external datasources and the data of the external datasource is after import available in GeolinQ.

Import and export

Data is imported and exported in various import- and export formats. The coordinate system and the attribute mappings of the import- and export format are stored in the datasource in order to simplify the import- and export of additional data. GeolinQ supports the transformation from all nearly all existing coordinate systems for import and export.

The configuration of the datasources themselves are also subject of import and export in other GeolinQ environments. As a result datasource configurations can be deployed on multiple environments and shared between users. IntellinQ offers a number of standard configurations like for example the usage of some standards like IMKL and the linkage of the Dutch key registrations into the RSGB.

Link and combine data

Datasources and datasets are linked by references, views, unions and the Seamless Point Surface (SPS). A reference attribute allows to link two datasets together. Views allow to combine the attributes of two or more datasets together to an new dataset and allow to create selections. Unions and the SPS allow to merge datasets sharing the same data structure to a new dataset. By linking and combining data applications become available to satisfy the end-users demands.

Processing data

Operations on data are performed in processes. Examples of operations are intersections of features, resampling of rasters and point clouds, calculating contours and differences between datasets.

In GeolinQ map are composed from data from datasets and external WMS and WMTS services as map layers. Feature datasets are visualized in a map layer using SLD’s and rasters or point clouds are visualized using colour scales. GeolinQ supports the editing of feature datasets in the map and allows end-user to edit geometries and attributes of a feature in the map. Multiple maps can be published in a configurable maps portal.

Applications and screens

Applications can be configured based on the datastructures and stored data. Applications consist of configured screens where data is displayed and edited optionally. Organisation can configure applications to perform walk-throughs or to design and analyze networks. An application is published in an application portal or as native mobile app.
